Classic American Songbook
Swing, Bebop and Latin Jazz influenced by the swing music of Lester Young, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw, Charlie Parker's Bebop, cool style of Miles Davis, Paul Desmond, Stan Getz, the Count Basie and Duke Ellington big bands, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. Classic tunes from composers Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Rogers and Hart, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern and Bossa Novas from Antonio Carlos Jobim. This band is featured in concerts, festivals and restaurants and plays background music at receptions. This program is also available with a trio.

New Orleans Hot Jazz and Swing
Traditional jazz styles from Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller and Benny Goodman. This group has performed at Great Gatsby parties, dances at Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom and for the Potomac River Jazz Club. The band has six musicians including vocalists, horn and rhythm sections. Halley's Hot Gumbo Swingtet performs at Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom for dancing. The Swingtet performs crowd pleasers for huge dancing and listening audiences.

1920's/30's Jazz Age Big Band
This 11 to 14-piece band performs for Roaring 20's and Jazz Age dances at major venues such as Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom. Inspired by Halley's long-time work with the LaSalle Dance Orchestra and Paul Whiteman-style ballroom dance music. Follow Halley's lead, enjoy watching, dancing or learning the dances that go along with the music: Foxtrot, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Blues, Salsa, Rhumba and Tango. Come out - hear and dance for yourself!
Modern Jazz and Swing with Elements of Funk, Rock and Latin
This captivating concert features Shoenberg compositions and original arrangements of standards covering 100 years of jazz. Several of her originals are influenced by the sounds of Chick Corea, Weather Report, Pat Metheny and Branford Marsalis. The Halley Shoenberg Jazz Quintet performed at the Mansion at Strathmore, North Bethesda, MD. The Halley Shoenberg Jazz Octet recorded live video for an Arlington, VA public television program.
